I read a lot of light fiction,a very necessary escape for me as it was a difficult year. Looking forward to next year & to hopefully reading some deeper books.TechWifehttp://playgroundofwords.blogspot.com/2011/12/52-books-in-52-weeks-books-25-76.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5435844874964791975.post-27670372167832426402011-12-20T09:13:14.554-08:002011-12-20T09:13:14.554-08:00I have read 'Pride and Prejudice' and '...I have read 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'Emma', and although they are not exactly my cup of tea I thought they were ok and I do like the old worldly feel of the them.

Maybe Emma was the one I enjoyed the most but I do have her collection on my bookshelf waiting to be read !Ally https://www.blogger.com/profile/09610944444538562368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5435844874964791975.post-70451339948197431322011-12-20T07:02:14.495-08:002011-12-20T07:02:14.495-08:00I love Jane Austen :) I hope you have a very Merr...I love Jane Austen :) I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!kayerjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08479123027080062607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5435844874964791975.post-448155478401230652011-12-20T04:15:32.044-08:002011-12-20T04:15:32.044-08:00You've missed my very favorite fan fiction for...You've missed my very favorite fan fiction for P&P. The Trilogy by Pamela Aiden. They are wonderful. She writes well, in the same vein as Austen, isn't crude and doesn't bring a modern sensibility to the story (which I find very rankling and present in the fan fic I've read). Aiden's three books tell the story of P&P from Darcy's point of view.

Thank you, Robin, for hosting this reading challenge again. I've enjoyed it immensely and plan to participate in 2012. I struggled through Pride and Prejudice in high school and attempted Northanger Abbey recently. But, I just don't like them. Oh well, I suppose I enjoy twaddle reading more than notable classics. :-)Leah Courtneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10812333478201076333noreply@blogger.com
