Thank you for hosting this challenge. I was way behind on my reviews, but now I have caught up and have found that I far exceeded the goal. I read a lot of light fiction,a very necessary escape for me as it was a difficult year. Looking forward to next year & to hopefully reading some deeper books.

I have read 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'Emma', and although they are not exactly my cup of tea I thought they were ok and I do like the old worldly feel of the them.

Maybe Emma was the one I enjoyed the most but I do have her collection on my bookshelf waiting to be read !

You've missed my very favorite fan fiction for P&P. The Trilogy by Pamela Aiden. They are wonderful. She writes well, in the same vein as Austen, isn't crude and doesn't bring a modern sensibility to the story (which I find very rankling and present in the fan fic I've read). Aiden's three books tell the story of P&P from Darcy's point of view.

I must confess that I really don't like Jane Austen. I struggled through Pride and Prejudice in high school and attempted Northanger Abbey recently. But, I just don't like them. Oh well, I suppose I enjoy twaddle reading more than notable classics. :-)
