So, this is two weeks worth of reading. I contrast C.S. Lewis with the previous week's Hemingway book and read some Luther!

Funny that you talked about the Christy Awards. I just pulled out the DVD's from the short-lived TV series. Fun! I love that book. :)

Also, I remember Don Quixote as it was the first of the 158 books on The Well-Educated Mind list. It took me from August to October 2003! Hard but good. :)Carol Ann Weaverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13676125721105006155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5435844874964791975.post-34109603506264482942012-07-30T23:21:37.104-07:002012-07-30T23:21:37.104-07:00My husband spent a couple of years in Spain and on...My husband spent a couple of years in Spain and one of the treasures he brought home was "Don Quixote. This is the 2nd book written by this Southern author that I read and really enjoyed. Also read book #30 "The Alchemyst" (Book #1 in the The Secrets of the Immortal Nichols Flamel series) by Michael Scott. Interesting - but not sure I'm in any great hurry to read the rest of the books in this series.Monicanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5435844874964791975.post-35920517545708843362012-07-29T03:59:45.689-07:002012-07-29T03:59:45.689-07:00I didn't finish my read for this week yet, mig...I didn't finish my read for this week yet, might take a couple more days. But I did read Don Quixote earlier this year! And I thoroughly enjoyed it, somewhat to my surprise. It looked so long and I had a preconceived notion it would be stodgy, but not at all! Very funny and clever.Faithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10169821331076296753noreply@blogger.com
